A modern, no-nonsense business directory for Canada.
BizYellow.ca is an online business directory for every province and territory in Canada — from St. John's to Tofino, from Iqaluit to Windsor. We're an independent, Canadian-owned project, not a subsidiary of any phonebook company, advertising network, or media conglomerate.
We help Canadians find real businesses. Every listing has a verified address. Most have a phone number, a website, or both. There are 47,238 businesses in our directory right now, organized into 159+ categories across 3,420+ cities and towns.
We don't run a phonebook. We don't sell your data. We don't pop up surveys. We don't autoplay video ads. The website is fast, mobile-friendly, and free to use.
Our initial business data comes from OpenStreetMap — a global, crowdsourced map maintained by hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide. OpenStreetMap data is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL), which means it's free to use commercially with attribution. We attribute proudly: every page on this site credits OpenStreetMap contributors.
From there, our system enriches each listing with a clear description, accurate categorization, and structured data so Google can show it properly in search results. Business owners can then claim their listing and take control — updating contact info, adding photos, embedding a map, posting hours, and more.
No setup fees. No surprise upgrades. No bundled "marketing services" that don't actually market anything.
BizYellow.ca is independently owned and operated in Alberta, Canada. We've been building independent web properties for over two decades — classifieds, hosting, directories. We believe the modern web should be lighter, faster, and more honest than what's currently on offer.
