By using BizYellow.ca ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
BizYellow.ca is an online business directory operated from Canada. The Service provides searchable listings of businesses across Canada and offers business owners the ability to claim and manage their listings under paid subscription plans.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
Basic business location data on the Service is derived from OpenStreetMap contributors and is provided under the Open Database License (ODbL). We attribute this data on every page.
Unclaimed listings represent businesses identified from public mapping data. We make a reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, but we make no warranty that any listing is current, complete, or correct. If you find an error, please contact us for correction or removal.
Business owners may claim their listing and subscribe to a Basic ($4.95/year) or Featured ($24.95/year) plan to gain edit access and additional features.
We offer a 14-day refund on first-time annual subscriptions if you are not satisfied. Refund requests after 14 days, or on renewal payments, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to request a refund.
When you submit content (descriptions, photos, logos, videos, hours, etc.) to your claimed listing, you grant BizYellow.ca a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display that content on the Service. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be misleading, defamatory, illegal, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.
"BizYellow", "BizYellow.ca", and the BizYellow logo are trademarks of the Service operator. Other business names, logos, and marks displayed on the Service belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any business listed will provide satisfactory products or services. Your transactions with businesses listed on the Service are solely between you and that business.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BizYellow.ca and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BizYellow.ca and its operators from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email to subscribers. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
